Recently, YAMAHA gave more info about the upcoming, amazing VOCALOID3 editor.
It's been confirmed that the new editor will have more lifelike vocals, include software such as the much anticipated VOCALISTENER, and it's even possible to import VOCALOID2 DBs into the new software.
Here's basic re-cap of all that was revealed at the V3 conference .
-V3 has smoother note transitions and more realistic vocal simulation
-In the new editor you can use vst and reverb effects, as well as edit the instrumental in while still in Vocaloid
-"Vocalistener" WILL be bundled with the product
-You'll have to buy V3 seperately from voicebanks but voicebanks will come with "Tiny" Vocaloid Editor
-Vocaloids in Chinese, Korean and Spanish – samples shown
-Multiple Undo/Redo feature
-You can use V2 DBs with V3
-MegPoid Extend: Power, Adult, Whisper and Sweet
-Producer collaboration to make a V3 library.
-2 new V3 DBs from Zero-G
-1 new V3 DB from PowerFX from Anders. (Who is awesome)
-Mac OS still not supported
-Classic Mode for less realistic vocals
-"VocaloWitter" to help them with talking as opposed to singing.
-Voice Bank for "CUL". The mascot of a VOCALOID documentary TV show.
-Japanese singer "Lia" will be voicing a VOCALOID3.
-New Japanese VOCALOID3 "i-style project" by Surfer Paradise and Studio DEEN"
-"Vocaloidol" virtual idol group
-The winners of the "Everyone's VOCALOID project" will be made into VOCALOID3 DBs.
-Korean VOCALOID3 "I-fantasy".
-Can install Plug-ins and use scripts.
-"THE VOCALOIDs" compilation album: Using all VOCALOID2+ DBs using the V3 engine and Vocalistener
