Sonic Module for ProjectDIVA 2.5~
On the cover of this weeks ASCII magazine, a new model for ProjectDIVA 2.5 was revealed in honor of Sonic the Hedgehog's 20th anniversary. This adds another SEGA series onto the cameos in projectDIVA including costumes from Space Channel 5 and Valkyria Chronicles.
The module was designed by Yuji Uekawa who was the creator of Ristar and was the one responsible for the 'Adventure' styled Sonic designs.
ProjectDIVA 2.5 is set to be released this fall, so keep an eye on it!

Release of Gackt's "Episode.0"...
Gackt has finally released his full cover of "Episode.0" which was originally sung by his VOCALOID, GackPoid.
Gackt had held a contest for songwriters on NicoNicoDouga to make an original song with GackPoid as the main singer. The winner of the contest would have their song covered by Gackt himself. The winner ended up being Mathru (Kanimiso-P) with their song, "Episode.0"...
"Episode.0" will be Gackt's 39th single and will include a cover of "Paranoid Doll" by Natsu.
The single will be released on July 13th. A special addition will also be available with a DVD that includes Gackt's PV for Episode.0.

VOCALOID3 revealed!

Recently, YAMAHA gave more info about the upcoming, amazing VOCALOID3 editor.
It's been confirmed that the new editor will have more lifelike vocals, include software such as the much anticipated VOCALISTENER, and it's even possible to import VOCALOID2 DBs into the new software.
Here's basic re-cap of all that was revealed at the V3 conference .
-V3 has smoother note transitions and more realistic vocal simulation
-In the new editor you can use vst and reverb effects, as well as edit the instrumental in while still in Vocaloid
-"Vocalistener" WILL be bundled with the product
-You'll have to buy V3 seperately from voicebanks but voicebanks will come with "Tiny" Vocaloid Editor
-Vocaloids in Chinese, Korean and Spanish – samples shown
-Multiple Undo/Redo feature
-You can use V2 DBs with V3
-MegPoid Extend: Power, Adult, Whisper and Sweet
-Producer collaboration to make a V3 library.
-2 new V3 DBs from Zero-G
-1 new V3 DB from PowerFX from Anders. (Who is awesome)
-Mac OS still not supported
-Classic Mode for less realistic vocals
-"VocaloWitter" to help them with talking as opposed to singing.
-Voice Bank for "CUL". The mascot of a VOCALOID documentary TV show.

The reason these two get new songs is for the Taiwanese release! E-CAPSULE is making their own demo songs in the Chinese~ Prima's demo is said to be made by shu-t to boot! Also, the videos could hint at Prima's generic anime design like all of the VOCALOIDs seem to be getting~

UTAU-Synth for Mac OS X hada demo recently released! Unfortunately, it's only a 30 day trial and there's no way to get a forever working version. Still, feel free to try it out while you can and experience some new features!
There are a few benefits us Mac users get with UTAU despite only being able to use it for a short period. The two most praised things besides the fancy new interface are:
No need for rest notes! (Like VOCALOID)
Can use EITHER hirigana OR romaji right out of the box! (Like VOCALOID)

As a note, English Miku is only 40% complete and they're using English Luka to fill in the holes. Not to mention that the VSQ's stripped to a bare minimum with timing issues.
Still, it's great to hear the progress of both of these Voice Banks!

Gackt's 39th single to be Gackpoid original covers.
Remember a while back, there was a Gackpoid original song contest and the winning song would be covered by Gackt himself? He's releasing that single on July 13th with "Episode.0" as the winning song. He's also covering the popular "Paranoid Doll" as a second track. Each song will have a completely redone instrumental and will feature Gackt's real voice.

Meet America's first 'VOCALOID', Ange Wayne.
Looks like America's got itself a VipperLoid~ Ange Wayne is said to be a VOCALOID coming out in America. Her webpage has insufficient information about the company she's being released from, and her demo songs sond far too realistic, although, VOCALOID3 is Yamaha's most "realistic voice engine yet." There's also the fact that it's on a blog site.
I give her company props though. The artwork's original and pretty, and from what I can tell, the demo song's original. I can't find it anywhere else on the internet. It's nice some people are putting so much into a fake VOCALOID~ Let's see where She goes after a while.

AnaROBIK remix album...
I don't know how many of you remember this guy, but there was one sane VOCALOID producer that specialized in making LOLA originals who went under the name "AnaROBIK."

Miku Hatsune Live in the US!
Miku Hatsune's 4th solo concert is to happen on July 2nd of this year. The biggest difference about this one is that it will be taking place in the US!
Miku will be performing July 2nd at the NOKIA Theater in Los Angeles. It will be part of Anime Expo and the concert will be put on by CRYPTON, SEGA and is sponsored by TOYOTA USA. Notice that 5pb wasn't mentioned there?
To get tickets, you must first register for Anime Expo. If you choose to attend Saturday, July 2nd, you will then have the option to buy tickets to Miku's concert for an extra $15. That doesn't seem like much, but registering for Expo is $50+ depending on how many days you attend.
The official website said it would be similar to 39's Giving Day performance but it "will feature a few improvements over the original event."
You must register before June 24th and it'd be a good idea to register as soon as possible before the concert tickets sell out!

New version of "World is Mine" to be released...
With the new toyota commercial using "World is Mine" as the main song, a remastered version of "World is Mine" is to be released on the US Amazon.com. It's scheduled to be released on May 10th.

2011 Toyota Corolla + Hatsune Miku
Well something big has happened today. Miku has been featured in a US car commercial for the New 2011 Toyota Corolla. Well.... featured is somewhat of an understatement. Miku is the star of the commercial with the 2011 Corolla as her official car. This is most likely what CRYPTON has been calling "Miku's US debut" and I for one am looking forward to seeing this on TV. This is definitely a great amount of publicity for Miku! Thank you Toyota for doing this!

VOCALOID producer matt9five deletes accounts.
Yesterday, VOCALOID producer matt9five has deleted his website accounts on sites such as YouTube, DeviantArt and Twitter, taking his artwork, music and videos with him. The videos that he posted on NicoNicoDouga are still safe though. The cause is rumored to be from stress and reading negative comments and criticism on his work.

Today at around 2:40 am (GMT), VOCALOID community VOCALOIDOtaku.net was infected by malware. The cause of this is currently unknown, but it is currently unsafe to view the website.
